Waiting on Baby D

As I type this, my best friend is in a luxury suite at a valley hospital in labor with her first child. A miracle baby. When I stopped by to see her on my way into work this morning, she was handling the contractions like a pro. I was amazed at how quiet and graceful she was...I would have been yelling and screaming and probably throwing stuff across the room. Not Erin...she was the picture of composure. That was 3 1/2 hours ago...before the epidural. I'm sure she's now contentedly sucking on ice chips and watching daytime television. Yea right.

By 3:00PM I will be an aunt.
