{stuff}

So disappointed. I wasn't able to buy tickets for WICKED from Ticketmaster...they sold out within a half hour. Now I have to go through a ticket vendor. Yuck.

Trying to decide what I want to do for my 30th birthday in August. Granted, it's a ways away, but I need to decide now so I can make reservations wherever I go. I'm seriuosly thinking of renting a house in
Bella Beach for the weekend. Just look at this gorgeous place!

I would LOVE to live here, not just visit. Oh well [sigh].

I'm currently reading Angels & Demons by Dan Brown. Enjoyed The Da Vinci Code and A&D is shaping up to be a pretty decent novel in it's own right. Very interesting and thought-provoking. I like that when I read.

After the scrapbook convention last week, I got bit by the creativity bug and have been making cards and frames. So cute. The card designs are all "lifted" from Becky Higgins but they are too cute not to reproduce. The frames are my own invention inspired by Heidi Swapp and using those wonderful little $3.00 frames from Walmart. As soon as the first one is done, I'll post it here.

Never do anything you'd later have to explain to the paramedics.

{faces of me}

I just installed my new MS Digital Image Suite and this is my first project. Lovin' this thing!

{dreaming out loud}

Apparently several of my friends read my blog and never comment. Yes, I mean you. I know who you are. :)

Recently I've been thing about the dreams I've had in my life. Have I accomplished them? Would the girl I was be disappointed in the woman I have become (and AM becoming)? When I was little, I wanted so much. I wanted to be a fighter pilot, a lawyer, a psychologist. Looking back it's interesting to me to realize that I never wanted to be famous. I still don't but don't most young kids dream of fame and fortune? Am I a freak? Don't answer that.

Now, I just want the simple dreams in life. As "uncool" and "passe" as it may seem, I want to get married and raise a family. I want to write, either a novel or as a staff writer at a magazine, I don't care. I want to be a YW Camp Leader (talk about asking for it, huh?). I want to travel to Italy, Vietnam, and Belize. I want to help others in any way I can.

Simplicity...that is my goal. I've seen what greed and power can do. I've seen how the "other half" lives and it's not all is cracked up to be. Call me simple, call me unmotivated, call me anything you want. I don't want to run the country, own the company or see my name on the silverscreen...maybe just on the cover a best-selling novel.

{easter}

What a wonderful weekend and Easter day. At the last minute, our little "family" decided to have Easter dinner. I baked a ham (complete with pinneapple, cloves and a brown sugar glaze) and a green bean casserole. We also had rolls, asparagus and mashed potatoes. Strawberry shortcake for dinner. Quite the spread for a group who considers "home-cooking" to be a frozen pizza!

My lesson in GD went well. Phew...glad it's over. I'm not to good at teaching ancient scripture.

The house next to the Kool Kid Klubhouse is for sale. I really want to buy it but just don't think I can afford it.

{friday}

Thank goodness! It's been a long week!

Last night, my ever so clever best friend gave me a great Easter gift. She knows that I'm addicted to Starbucks Strawberries N Creme fraps. So she gave me a gift card tucked inside a cup filled with tissue paper to look like a SNC Frap. So stinkin cute! Thanks Er!!

Went and saw Take The Lead last night. Antonio Banderas is so incredibly sexy and cute. The movie was pretty good...I really enjoyed the music, much to my surprise. It made me want to get up and dance!

Speaking of dancing, I'm in love with this Willow Tree figurine. Gotta have it!

I'm going the CK Convention next week and taking a class. I think this occasion calls for a new bag. Maybe this one??

{good things}

Shelly at Say Anything Expressions did a super job creating me a custom plaque with my personal creed. It turned out wonderful, as you can see. I'm so excited to get it home and hung!

{manic monday}

That was yesterday. After a crabby day at work, I decided to make myself feel better. Bought a new novel, drove by the temple, got Panda Express for dinner. My fortune read: Good news will come to you by mail. Got home and I had a letter from my friend who left for the MTC three weeks ago! I was ticked pink.

Went to a friends for Prison Break and 24 (I adore Wentworth Miller). Had fun. THEN, in true Lindsy fashion, I was walking up the sidewalk to my front door and the same sidewalk that I've been walking up and down umpteen times a day and I decided to have a smackdown. I fell, hit my head, scraped my elbow, jacked up my wrist, skinned my knee (which is now as big as balloon and black and blue). Ha-ha. I sat there for a minute and just laughed. What else could I do?

{WEEKEND}

And a very welcome one at that. I'm off to buy a harness at REI for climbing tomorrow. Good times ahead! Mountains, here I come!

I know, I'm a dork.

Leap and a net will appear.

{wicked}

Just received official confirmation that Wicked tickets will indeed go on sale April 24th at 10am. Can't wait for this show. Definitely gettin' me some tickets. I bought the book about a year ago but still have not read it. That will be on my "to do" list before I see the musical. I already have the soundtrack as well, how sick is that?

{kenny}

So excited! A GREAT friend sacraficed an hour of his Saturday to buy us tickets to see Kenny Chesney in June. Woo-hoo! I love this man and can't wait to see him live. I might even wear my pink cowboy hat...

{today}

Today is good. This past weekend was wonderful. Batting cages, go-karts, Barnes & Noble, Costa Vida, pedicure, book club dinner, sleepover, frisbee, swinging in the hammock, playing golf with beachballs, hip hop dancing, having someone else do my hair, conference, lots and lots of good food, hot tub, exploring abandoned military bunkers, Grey's Anatomy. Yep, it was a good weekend. I love my life.

Am trying for a new position at work. This one is right up my ally and I really hope I get it. I think I've got a pretty good chance.

I'm supposed to be a youth conference chaperone this weekend but haven't heard back yet...oh, well.

Getting a cut and color this weekend. Pictures will be forthcoming.

Lead me not into temptation, I can find it myself.
